Q: When can I expect a response?

A: Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, and the time it takes to adequately review and respond to each inquiry, we are not able to respond to all inquiries at this time. We are only able to respond to serious inquiries regarding projects that are consistent with the artist's style. If your project is selected, you will receive a response typically within 4-8 weeks for scheduling. If you do not receive a response, then your project was not selected but we sincerely appreciate for your interest. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Please note: If an artist's books are closed, this means they are not currently taking new clients and will not be responding to any emails at this time. Keep an eye on their social media for openings.

Q: I don't like email - can I just stop by to talk to the artist?

A: We are an appointment-only studio. We do not offer walk-in consultations. You must have an appointment to enter the studio. When the artists are at the studio, they are either preparing for or working with a client - this means they are not available for walk-in consultations. Email is the preferred method of communication.

Q: Where are you located?

A: We are located in Chicago, IL. *Please note: This is an appointment-only studio. We do not accept walk-ins. You must have an appointment to enter the studio.  Please contact the artist in advance to request an appointment.*

Q: Why can't I reach anyone by phone?

A: Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are not accepting any calls at this time. Email is the preferred method of communication.

Q: How much does a tattoo cost?

A: Rates may vary depending on size, detail and artist.  Please contact the artist for an estimate.

Q: Are deposits refundable?

A: Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you miss, cancel or ask to reschedule your appointment on short notice, you will greatly inconvenience your artist and you will forfeit your deposit. We respect and value your time and we ask that you do the same for ours. See deposit policy for more information.

Q: Can I bring a friend?

A: If you would like, you may bring up to one guest to your appointment. Your guest must follow all health & safety guidelines. Do not bring a group of people and do not bring children - no one under 18 may enter the studio.

Q: Do you do cover ups?

A: Some of our artists do cover ups on a case by case basis.

Q: Do you offer gift cards?

A: The studio does not offer general gift cards for tattoos. If you are looking for a unique gift idea, Pony and Gary offer personalized videos on Cameo.

Q: I have a medical condition - is it safe for me to get a tattoo?

A: If you have any medical concerns, please consult with your physician about getting tattooed prior to requesting an appointment.
