Q: When can I expect a response?

A: Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, and the time it takes to adequately review and respond to each inquiry, we are not able to respond to all inquiries at this time. We are only able to respond to serious inquiries regarding projects that are consistent with the artist's style. If your project is selected, you will receive a response typically within a few weeks for scheduling. If you do not receive a response within a few weeks, then your project was not selected but we sincerely appreciate for your interest. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Please note: If an artist's books are closed, this means they are not currently taking new clients and will not be responding to any emails at this time. Keep an eye on their social media for openings.

Q: I don't like email - can I call or stop by to talk to the artist?

A: Please keep in mind that Mayday Tattoo Co is an appointment-only studio, not a walk-in shop. When the artists are at the studio, they are either preparing for or working with a client - this means they are not able to take phone calls and are not available for walk-in consultations. To uphold excellent customer service, email is the preferred method of communication.  Please note: If an artist's books are closed, this means they are not currently taking new clients and will not be responding to any emails at this time. Keep an eye on their social media for openings.

Q: Where are you located?

A: We are located in Chicago, IL. *Please note: This is an appointment-only studio, not a walk-in shop. Due to high demand, the artists are not available for walk-ins.  Please contact the artist in advance to request an appointment.*

Q: Why can't I reach anyone by phone?

A: Due to the high volume of inquiries, we are not accepting any phone inquiries at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please keep in mind that when the artist is at the studio, they are typically working with or preparing for a client and are not available to take phone calls. To uphold excellent customer service, email is the preferred method of communication. Please note: If an artist's books are closed, this means they are not currently taking new clients and will not be responding to any emails at this time. Keep an eye on their social media for openings.

Q: How much does a tattoo cost?

A: Rates may vary depending on size, detail and artist.  Please contact the artist for an estimate.

Q: Are deposits refundable?

A: Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you miss, cancel or ask to reschedule your appointment on short notice, you will greatly inconvenience your artist and you will forfeit your deposit. We respect and value your time and we ask that you do the same for ours. See deposit policy for more information.

Q: What are your hours? Do you take walk-ins?

A: Due to the high volume of requests, we are an appointment-only studio.  Please keep in mind that when the artist is at the studio, they are typically working with or preparing for a client, and are not available for walk-in consultations.  To uphold excellent customer service, email is the preferred method of communication.  Please contact the artist directly to set up an appointment.
